Perfectly imperfect

Love. How majestic is this love, that sees above our many mistakes and faux pas. How majestic is He who is Love and who loved us first.

As I was confronted to myself, all I could see were the many many mistakes I had done in the past few months. Je me regardais, mais ne voyais que mes accrochages relationnels, mes dernières excentricités et ma désillusion.

J’en étais venue à douter de mes dons, ce qui incidemment à mener à une baisse de foi.

It was like I didn’t know who I was anymore, and I was just wandering through life. J’avançais, mais je reculais aussi.

But in all this, my faithful faithful God stayed reminding me that He loved me. Our God keeps speaking the same thing. He’s the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.

And therefore, this is a reminder that in our imperfections God still loves us.

Psalm 139:14 says “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

It was one of my favourite verse this year, because it kept reminding me of God’s intentionality with us and for us.

He created us purposely, and to honour Him would be to thrive and be our authentic self. This is also where faith gets to take place. Isn’t it scary to be you in a world where everything is based on impression, and yet to still choose to be YOU!

I thank God for His love and grace, for He is the God who glorifies Himself in our weaknesses, making it possible for us to embrace them. Que par ces imperfections, témoignage de Sa gloire dans nos vies soit fait et que gloire Lui soit rendue.

I thank God we’re perfectly imperfect and don’t need to try to impress Him because He already chooses us, already loves us, and He MADE us.

I pray that we look at God and not at who we are or our circumstances. May we remember that love is our fuel and that He is love. And His love is perfected in us.

Go be blessed!
